Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Alternativa LLC ("we", "us") collects when you use Alternativa, how we use it and the choices you have.
1. Data we collect

2. How we use it
- To run the Service: sign you in, record votes, manage coins and deliver notifications.
- To produce poll analytics. Results are shown in aggregate, for example by gender, age group or country.
- To process and verify purchases and prevent fraud and vote manipulation.
- To moderate content and enforce our Terms.
- To respond to your messages and send service notices.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not show third-party ads.
3. What other users can see
Your nickname, public name, public description and links are visible to others. Your nickname and the choice you vote for may appear in a poll's live vote feed. Analytics show only aggregated counts, not individual voters.
4. Service providers
We share data only with providers that help us run the Service:
- Google Cloud and Firebase (hosting, push notifications, Google Sign-In)
- Supabase (database, EU region) and Upstash (cache)
- RevenueCat (purchase verification)
- Stripe, Apple and Google (payment processing)
We may also disclose data when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users and the Service.
5. Cookies
The website uses one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
6. International transfers
Our providers process data in the European Union and the United States. Where required, transfers are protected by standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
7. Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we immediately remove your email, Google account link, names, public profile, followers, favourites, devices and notifications. Your votes, polls and suggestions stay without your name so poll results remain accurate; gender, age and country stay attached to them only for aggregate analytics. We keep purchase and coin records needed for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings → Public profile → Delete my account. For any other request, email support@alternativa1.net from the email address on your account. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords and access controls to protect your data. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
11. Changes
We will post updates on this page and notify you in the Service if a change is material.
